My entry to the Tombraider competition. Went for a poster style.
I drew inspiration from some of my favorite illustrated posters of Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
Pencil drawn and coloured in Photoshop. Approx 25 hours.

I think you perfectly captured the fact that Lara was forced to become a survivor, and had to kill people. She's tough as nails and probably scared as hell.

XD I think you should've won, not many other people captured her development as well as you, most of them only seem to be of her badass side :3 I love Lara as a character and you've done her excellent justice.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you picked up on the survivor aspect I was going for. I kinda wish I did a badass one like everyone else, might have made the semis. Oh well, such is life.

Glad to here you're a Lara fan. I am too, shes a Great character.

I'm glad you didn't go with the running theme and I wish the judges had thought about not only picking the great art but the art with feeling. No denying that the winner's art was incredible, I just didn't feel any attachment or meaning. Your's did that for me ^^

People seem to think that Lara isn't the same-old Lara but I think the new game explains why she is who she is now. It was great writing for a video game too :3

Yeah, as good as artwork was, a lot of them looked like they could be a still shot from the game and didn't tell the story behind the character.

I agree. She hasn't changed, just a great idea by the game company to tell the origin behind her character.

I'm from Christchurch. Kiwi jokes would be funny! No one else will have a clue what we are talking about. Haha.
